I am NOT a Robot!

What the hell is with the Blogger Catchpa/prove you are not a Robot puzzles lately??? I swear I just had one that was written in ye olde english! I couldn't tell if it was supposed to be "s" or "f" and in the end I took a wild stab at an "l" and nailed it. I mean, yes, they have to look somewhat distorted to avoid the robots (C3PO I presume, R2D2 has better things to do) but how about NOT using antique fonts next time?!*@%^****

I was just thinking the same and hoping it wasn't just me. I'm looking at the weird, curved word below right now, half of it is on a black blobby background, the other half not. I can't tell where one letter ends and the next starts. The irony is I probably could if I was a robot...

Oh well, let's type what I THINK it is and see if you get this...

It's extremely annoying isn't it? Did you know that you have it on your blog too?

Oh hell, I'm always directed to the "disabled" box...hate this too.

I just read your post about what happened over at ADO. You better than anyone, was able to clarify what was happening over there. God knows, I tried to get involved, but was never contacted after many attempts on at my end, so I just participated in the challenges.

I'm not really a "clubby" person...I recall how my mother reprimanded me many years ago because I wasn't about to be the "token" Mexican in the local Junior League, plus, I had nothing in common with those people. I was enthralled when I was accepted to ADO because of all the wonderful doll artists and here I was, rubbing the proverbial cyber elbows with them. Thankfully, I still stay in touch with some of my favorites, you included in that small bunch, following their blogs and yes, Facebook!! LOL

I haven't updated my Etsy page, so I don't exist there right now, and I agree, it's grown to monstrous proportions as compared to just 5 years ago, but then, that comes to no surprise to me or anyone else. Like you, my dear Yve, I don't jump those hoops, or ride their horses (actually a saying in Spanish that doesn't translate well, but you get the meaning)so I too am at a cross-roads right now. I still love making dolls, but as any artist, we evolve and branch out. Right now, I'm in the process of making "coco heads" that are made in Mexico, but instead of paper mache and coconuts, I'm using paper mache eggs and paper clay...anxious to see how they're going to turn out...so far, so good.

Well, I need to get myself off this contraption and on to preparing my day to spend with my mother which will begin with a 2 hour wait at the doctor's office...sigh. Oh well, onward and upward plus it gives me the opportunity to do some real damage in my monthly book for my book club...I don't know why we call it that, it should be the wine and food club!! LOL

Have a great day and I'm looking forward to seeing any creation you make...your work is incredible.

Abrazos (hugs),
Georgina

I know they needed to do something after The Curse of the Chinese Spammers nearly drove everyone off Blogger a few summer's back, but this is insane, it will be the riddle of the Sphinx next... and we all know that ended in tears (well, for the sphinx at any rate!)
